Gracey Borneman

Co-Owner & Groomer

I've been grooming dogs for over 10 years, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of who I am. One of my favorite things about grooming is getting to know each dog's unique personality and building relationships with both pets and their families over time.

Throughout my career, I've worked with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. Whether it's a wiggly puppy visiting the salon for the first time or a senior dog who needs a little extra patience and care, I believe every pet deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and understanding.

Two years ago, I moved to Washington and quickly fell in love with this community. There's something special about small-town life—the friendly faces, local businesses, and the way people genuinely support one another. It didn't take long for it to feel like home.

When I'm not grooming, you'll usually find me spending time outdoors, making memories with family and friends, or hanging out with my two rescue dogs. They are truly my world and a daily reminder of why I love what I do. I am also deeply thankful for the unwavering support of my partner and family, whose encouragement and belief in me gave me the confidence to take this leap and turn a lifelong passion into something truly special.

Harbor Hounds is a dream that wouldn't have been possible without my business partner, Tatum. Building this business together has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and I am grateful every day for her partnership, dedication, and shared vision.

Tatum Haselden

Co-Owner and Groomer

I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. In fact, my first business venture was a pet-sitting service I started when I was just 9 years old. That passion eventually led me to spend more than 10 years working in the veterinary field, where I gained invaluable experience caring for pets and supporting the people who love them. Over time, I discovered a love for grooming, which allowed me to combine my animal care background with a more creative side.

Those who know me best know that Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are my weakness. I simply can't resist their sweet faces and even sweeter personalities! Born and raised in Washington, North Carolina, I still call this community home, where I live with my husband Matt and our two children Livia and Matthew.

I dreamed of one day opening my own business. With a lot of hard work, support, and a little nudge from family (you know who you are), that dream has finally become a reality. I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve the pets and people of our community through Harbor Hounds.
